Rock and Roll was alive and well in the First Avenue Main Room with elder statesmen Papa Roach capped off a night with hit songs from 2000′s Infest through 2012′s The Connection. Pop Evil offered an intense set with the radio smash “Trenches” off of 2013′s Onyx being the heavy hitter for me in their set. Age of Days reformed with two new members at the end of 2011 after half of their band relocated and signed with a label. They are touring to support their latest release Radioactivity.

Imagine Dragons made their first appearance in Minnesota back in 2012, across the river in Minneapolis at the Basilica Block Party and since then they have become kind of a big deal! Their song “Radioactive” can be heard on heavy rotation across multiple station formats. They have an energetic stage presence, unique approach and enough catchy songs that will only help them on their upward trajectory toward being a household name and eventually selling out arenas.
