Announcement: Canon 5D Mark III Officially Announced
Late Thursday night, Canon let the cat out of the bag and announced the new 5D Mark III! You can preorder it on B&H right now. The price is $3499 and is slated for release at the end of March (HOLY CRAP, RIGHT?!)

The big draw for me over the 5D Mark II will be the full two stop improvement in low light capability. Early testers are saying ISO 1600 on the Mark II are coming up with the same amount of noise as ISO 6400 on the Mark III! That is insane! I shot my last show at ISO 4000 on the Mark II and the results were fantastic so if this is spot on, we’re all in for a bangin camera body from Canon.
